All of the pictures in this gallery were taken when I lived in France between 1998 and
2000. The negatives of every photo I had taken up to that point were stolen when
someone stole a suitcase of mine from a train in 2001.
All that were left were a few test prints of a random selection. Some of the test prints are
tiny and the resolution you will see here is poor. It does however lend the photographs a
certain aged quality and for me a certain mystique in knowing they can never be properly
reprinted.
This is how I saw Paris at that time. Paris for me is a city in a suitcase.
